Biweekly Update: 16 Weeks

DSC02158In order to not let my pregnancy completely take over the blog (like it has been lately), I’m going to shoot for biweekly updates on how Thing 3 and me are doing. I’ll still be adding additional pregnancy/baby related posts and also recipes and health tips like usual.

How far along: 16 weeks

Total weight gain: ~3-4 lbs.

Maternity clothes: A few things including my maternity leggings, but mostly wearing maxi dresses/skirts, yoga pants, using the hair tie method on pants or the belly band.

Sleep: Pretty good. Have one of those long pregnancy pillows that has helped out a ton and has kept me from sleeping on my back. My dreams are insane though. I’ve always been an intense dreamer and they have gotten worse. Most of them aren’t pregnancy or baby related which is interesting. I’ve also started snoring some nights. Doesn’t affect my sleep but definitely Joe’s!

Miss anything: My endurance. I struggle to get through a 20-30 minute prenatal at-home workout.

Movement: Nothing yet, but hoping for something soon!

Food cravings: Strawberries, salted cashews, Brie cheese (pasteurized), peaches (when are they in season??)

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing really, just turned off by some things like bananas, yogurt and fish. No clue why.

Have you started to show yet: I think so…a definite bump is there but still in the stage where people may just think I’m getting chunky instead of pregnant depending on what I’m wearing. And I can still hide it if I want to.

Gender: Find out in about a month!!

Happy or moody most of the time: Happy, sometimes just more annoyed easier but generally pretty happy. Joe said I’m 60% happy, 40% moody…

Looking forward to:  Feeling the baby move and my next doctor’s appointment this week. Hoping to get to hear the heartbeat again or see the sweet baby on an ultrasound.
